Biography

Born and raised on the beautiful island of St. Croix, I graduated from the University of the Virgin Islands with my ASN and later on, my BSN during which I was inducted into the Golden Key National Honor Society. I’m currently enrolled at FNU pursuing my master’s degree in Women’s Health with high hopes of becoming an APRN in the near future. I have been a nurse for 19 years on the Labor and Delivery/ Women’s Health unit at Gov. Juan F. Luis Hospital and Medical Center and currently at St. Mary’s Hospital. During my time at St. Croix, I also worked as an adjunct clinical professor at my alma mater. I took my students into the clinical setting assigned patients, and oversaw medication administration and care management of the patients. In my current role as an RN, I help families welcome their babies into the world, and sometimes help them say goodbye. I scrub and circulate in the operating room; take care of postpartum couplets and I am currently orienting in the Neonatal ICU.
