Women’s health nursing practitioner provide directly or in collaboration with other health professional to provide continuity of health care and to maximize the effectiveness of community and health care system services they learn clinical judgment and primary care skills through faculty mentorship and clinical preceptors in a variety of ambulatory care settings and specialty clinics. specialized skills and experience to treat and prevent illnesses unique to women, as well as provide focused care in areas such as Primary care, Prenatal and postpartum care, Lifespan care through menopause, General wellness and preventive care, Reproductive health care. The Women's Health Nurse Practitioner role focuses on primary care for women. Primary care is first access to comprehensive care involving health promotion or disease prevention and nursing management of common acute and chronic conditions.
