According to the data of adolescent dead in Taiwan, there are about 840 people each year. And the youths who has suicide idea, diagnosed as Adjustment disorder rate is about 27.7%. The disease “Adjustment disorder” effects on the mood in youths, and bad mood causes suicide idea. In Taiwan, the male citizens older than 18 years old, having to serve in the army. But the different environment will make some recruits adjust difficultly, so some recruits will have poor mood and suicide idea. About 750 recruits suspended Services due to adjustment disorder each year.
However, “Resilience” is a concept that is important for the improvement of disease symptoms and the ability to restore life after discharge and maintenance. The youths who have better resilience will improve their self-identity and social skills, and will have a positive effect on adapting to the environment and will reduce the recurrence rate.
Therefore, the author takes the topic “The relationship between Adolescents' Depression and Resilience in the Male Adolescents diagnosed as adjustment disorder.” In order to realize the relationship between Depressive mood and Resilience. The research result will let the clinical nurse have the definite way to care this kind of patient.
The study result shows that depressive mood and Resilience have significantly related, and some personal characteristics are, too. So, we can understand that improving patient’s mood in clinical care, the Resilience will improve disease recovery and reduce the recurrence rate of the disease.
Min li Li was studied in Fu Jen Catholic University and she is working in in Tri-Service General Hospital Beitou Branch, which offer high quality medical treatment and nursing care of mental disease.
